Biography:<\/strong> Mirko Dimi\u0107 was born in 1988 in Bosanska Dubica. He completed his primary and secondary education in Kozarska Dubica. In 2015, he graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy, Department of History, at the University of Banja Luka. He has been employed at the Public Institution \"Memorial Area Donja Gradina\" since 2016. He passed the professional exam for curators before the Commission of Parent Museums of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo in 2017. In 2022, he obtained the title of senior curator before the same commission. His research focuses on execution sites and crimes committed against the Serbian population in Kozarska Dubica during the period 1941\u20131945.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Abstract:<\/strong> This paper presents a testimony regarding the suffering of the population of Mount Kozara during World War II through the life story of Gojko Kotur, born in 1930 in the village of Koturovi near Kozarska Dubica. During the Kozara Offensive in 1942, his family endured immense suffering, and numerous family members were killed by the Ustashe. Gojko and his sister passed through several camps, including the Jasenovac concentration camp and the Ustashe children's camp in Sisak, where they were exposed to hunger, disease, and the daily death of children. After the war, despite a difficult life path, he managed to build a new life and a family. His testimony represents an important historical source on the suffering of the Kozara region, as well as a powerful story of human resilience and the significance of the culture of remembrance.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
