Abstract: Josipa Ruzika (Josipa) Adler was born in France, on May 20, 1933 in a town called Parpignan. Josefa was born to parents of Jewish origin born in Croatia. In January 1942, they took almost the entire extended family that remained in Slavonski Brod - to the Djakovo concentration camp, where the Ustasha guards drove the children and the elderly with wolves that tore their flesh. After several weeks, the Germans took the children. The children were taken by train, which would take them to extermination in gas chambers. Her stopping place was a signpost for the city of Osijak. Jewish students broke into the trailer and took a number of children and hid them with families from Osijek, with the help of fake documents. This is how 5 children were saved, including little Yosefa. After moving through several villages, the desperation was great, and Josepfa decided to adopt the name Rosalia (Shoshana in Hebrew) for herself.
