DOCUMENTATION ON THE HOLOCAUST IN THE ARCHIVES OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA
Abstract: The Archives of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo house extensive archival material on the Holocaust committed by the authorities of the Independent State of Croatia (NDH) against the Jewish population in the territory of present-day Bosnia and Herzegovina during World War II. The materials are stored in the Fund of the State Commission for the Investigation of Crimes of the Occupiers and Their Collaborators and consist of various reports, statements, records, and testimonies of survivors detailing the torture they endured, among other documents. Additionally, this extensive collection contains lists of Jews deported to concentration camps from various cities in present-day Bosnia and Herzegovina. The fund also includes records of confiscated Jewish businesses across different cities, as well as documentation on other forms of looting of Jewish property.
